Day 13: Favorite author

 

I'm leaving this one blank. I have no idea. None. 

 

I've long since given up on the idea of a favorite author. I'm not even sure I could pick a favorite author in a particular genre, much less a favorite over-all author. 

 

Would it be an author I read as a child? Whose stories helped foster my initial love of reading? What about those authors I read as a teen? In my college years? As a young adult? What of the ones I'm now reading in my forties? 

 

My tastes have changed and matured as I have, yet so many authors hold a special place in my heart and my history.

 

To pick one over others would be to somehow minimize every beloved author who has fed my book habit over the years.
